BUSINESS MEETING

Meeting called to order by  Bob Rebbec(2nd 69-70), with Charles Cooper and Keith Eaton recording minutes.

 Ken Dye (1st 68-69) present information with regards to the Troop providing a wreath for the 25th anniversary of Viet Nam Memorial. A motion was made and passed that the Troop would provide up to $250 for the wreath.

JT Tillman (1st 70) suggested that a call be made (during the business meeting) to Bob Taylor (2nd 69-70) and express the Troop’s wishes for a quick and healthy recovery from his cancer treatment.

UNIT LEADERS REPORTS:

Historical Unit-- George Gersaba (1st 69-70) NOT PRESENT  It was suggested that anyone needing assistance with posting pictures to the website should contact George Gersaba or Charles Cooper.

Commo Net-- Keith Eaton (HQ 69-70) requested that any trooper who wants to be on the Commo Net, or who is having trouble with the net, contact him.  He emphasized the importance of being on the net because of the information available that can’t be found elsewhere.  Jim Good (3rd 69-70) will serve as back up for the Commo Net duties.

Treasurer Unit-- Bob Taylor (2nd 69-70) presented a short financial statement during his phone call. Charles Cooper offered a proposed budget for 2008.  Floor opened for discussion, discussion closed, motion to accept budget for 2008 as presented, seconded by everyone, and passed unanimously.

Newsletter Unit—Keith Eaton reported on the status of the newsletter and plans for 2008. Goal for two newsletters during 2008 was set.  Keith Eaton, Charles Cooper, and Diane Rebbec (wife of Bob Rebbec 2nd 69-70) will assist with the newsletter. January/February 2007 is the target date for the next newsletter.

Troop Website Unit-- Charles Cooper had no new information with regards to website.

Roster Unit--Diane Rebbec had no new information for the Roster Unit

Reunion Unit – Keith Eaton (HQ 69-70) will head up the 2008 Reunion, with James Clark (HQ 69- 70) and Ken Dye (1st 68-69) assisting. October 9th, 10th, and 11th at the Gold Coast in Las Vegas

FLOOR OPEN FOR DISCUSSION with regards to 2009 reunion; at this point in time Jim Rindali has undertaken the Reunion Unit Leader role.

Secretary—Charles Cooper (1st 68-70) presented information with regards to Troop undertaking the project of placing a monument in the Armor Memorial Park. The projected cost of this project is $10,000 +/-. Floor was open for discussion. A motion was made and passed for the Troop to under take this project with the condition that any funds raised for this project not used for the monument would be place into the general operating funds and this project would be review at each business meeting until it was completed or cancelled.

Chairman-- John Sharpe (2nd 69-70) Chairman; was unable to attend this year’s reunion.

Jim Littlepage (2ND 70-71) closed the meeting by reading one his original poems: "The Purple Heart."
